What is Tallow?

We produce our tallow on-farm using a traditional slow, dry-rendering method. The suet—the fat naturally surrounding the loins and kidneys of cattle—is sourced from healthy, pasture-raised cattle grazing on South Carolina farmland. This ensures a nutrient-dense, high-quality fat that is ideal for skincare.

Why Use Tallow?

Pure grass-fed tallow is exceptionally rich in nutrients, providing more skin benefits than most other fats used in soap. Its fat composition closely resembles human skin fat, allowing it to restore skin at a cellular level and support natural collagen production.

Grass-fed tallow contains high levels of omega-7 and omega-9 fatty acids, conjugated linoleic acid, and vitamins A, D, E, K, and B12—all easily absorbed by the skin. Rich in essential fatty acids such as stearic acid and oleic acid, tallow deeply moisturizes and nourishes while protecting the skin’s natural moisture barrier. It helps maintain the skin’s oil balance and provides anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antioxidant benefits, preserving the skin’s health and resilience. Its compatibility with the skin’s natural oils is unmatched. Regular use can support sebum production and promote healthy, balanced skin.

The Benefits of Our Farm’s Raw Goat Milk in the Skincare Line

Goat milk is a nutritional powerhouse, packed with fatty acids, cholesterol, vitamins, minerals, and probiotics that benefit the skin. Its fatty acids and cholesterol help maintain skin hydration, prevent dryness, and reduce irritation.

Rich in vitamins A and E, goat milk promotes skin repair, reduces wrinkles, and protects against free radical and UV damage. Selenium and zinc further strengthen the skin’s natural barrier. Probiotics like Lactobacillus produce lactic acid, gently exfoliating for smoother, more even-toned skin. Its triglycerides and medium-chain fatty acids deliver deep hydration, restoring the skin’s natural moisture barrier, while its pH closely matches human skin for optimal balance.

We use milk from Nigerian Dwarf goats, which contains 6–10% butterfat—higher than the typical 3–4% in other goat milks. This creates a creamier, denser lather, enhances conditioning, and leaves skin exceptionally soft. Smaller fat molecules disperse evenly in the soap, producing smoother, silkier, longer-lasting bars. Its naturally sweet, mild aroma eliminates the “barny” scent often associated with goat milk, enhancing the luxurious experience.

What Makes Our Cleansing Bars so Luxurious?

Our soaps use only real, premium fats for richer lather, silkier glide, and superior skin benefits including hydration, barrier support, and vitamin nourishment. We avoid synthetic fragrances and essential oils, which can be harsh, and instead achieve gentle, skin-close scents by infusing oils, resins, and milk sugars, resulting in a naturally elegant “clean” aroma.

Colors come from nature—nutrient-rich oils, plants, herbs, clays, and carefully selected earth pigments. No artificial dyes or micas are used. Each bar is crafted in small batches with traditional cold-process methods and precise superfatting to ensure extra oils remain unsaponified for maximum nourishment.

The final result is a larger, creamier, and longer-lasting bar that leaves skin silky, conditioned, and beautifully refreshed. Our soaps are as wholesome as they are luxurious, elevating the everyday ritual of cleansing.
